It turns out that you cannot just order your squad mates and activate powers/switch weapons, but also interact with the environment like open chests & pick up items. Additionally, you can control the dialogue options via using Kinect’s voice input as well. Personally, I really like the last option and think that will bring a lot more immersion to feeling like Commander Shepard.
